In the beginning of any life situation, we are deeply concerned. We are genuinely worried about the outcome. Let’s take our bills for example…when the various bills for our households are paid on time, no stress. Everything is everything and life goes off without a hitch. Be that as it may, occasionally we might get behind by a payment or two, then we have to start making adjustments. That’s where the stress starts to enter the frame. Our mood becomes subdued, our forehead brings to produce nervous sweat, and the headaches start if the stressor (something that causes stress) is not removed. Some people go into depression, or think about suicide over this stuff thanks to our wonderful adrenal glands.
‘I Don’t Give A F*ck’, Therein Lies The Magic
Hopefully, you’ve realized something up to this point in your life and if you haven’t, then taking a gander at this post will bring it to your attention to save you a gaggle of stress. That “something” you may not know is that most stress experienced in our lives is self-imposed. Yes, that’s right, it’s all in your head. I’m not saying that your boyfriend didn’t cheat, the creditors aren’t calling in the middle of the night, you didn’t loose your job, or your baby-mama won’t let you see your kids. All that may be true but these are EXTERNAL circumstances. Despite those occurrences, our perception of those life trials is what dictates our mood.
Yet there are some anomalies in the world. Those of us who can experience these same life trials but not be phased. Our super-power is being able to ignore the initial knee-jerk response of fear due to the onset of a stressor and advance forward in our lives. This is a unique gift. One that should never be taken for granted. For the mortals among us, the presence of fear inside the body strikes like an arrow through the heart! It’s deadly. These afflicted humans will eventually come to a fork in the road and one route will have to be followed. Either the short road of worry, health problems, homicide, and/or possible suicide or the road less traveled where we, as humans, can master our own thinking to proceed in life unblemished.
This may not sound as ethereal as the above, but the thought process we should have adapted by now is “I don’t give a f*ck!” Those magical, yet vulgar words may be the key to all the successes we ever experience in our lives. When bill payments are late, the creditors are calling, when our girl sleeps with our best friend (or friends), when our ex is causing all sorts of drama, say to yourself “I don’t give a f*ck!” It’s liberating to have that kind of freedom. Now, I’m not saying not to pay our bills. We do have to live and I know most of us like air-conditioning, so don’t take this too far. Barring our own life responsibilities, we shouldn’t give a flying f*ck about anything external.
Uttering this phrase into the nitrogen-filled air will allow us to experience a freedom of thought and attitude that could only come from a line of cocaine! Life is too short to be worried about insignificant sh*t, ask Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Trayvon Martin, Whitney Houston, Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smalls, and list stretches on. Life is not meant for us to worry about every little insignificant thing that will occupy the brief time between our birth and the last day we take a breath. If we care too much, we never take the first step to do anything, but if we don’t care at all, magic begins to happen in our lives.
